Technical weighbridge portal
Technical and regulatory sources used by Peseaponte.info
Peseaponte.info uses technical and regulatory sources to distinguish documented information from matters that require a specific assessment of the individual installation. Statements concerning I Bilanciai weighbridges, weighing systems, software and self-service solutions are based on the relevant official pages; for legal metrology, the main references are the legislation published in the Italian Official Gazette and the institutional information provided by Unioncamere.
The portal is published by I BILANCIAI S.r.l. and has a technical-editorial role focused on vehicle weighing. This page brings together the sources used in the guides and explains the criteria applied when dealing with product information, technical data and regulatory references.

How the sources are used
Each source is used according to the type of information it can actually support. I Bilanciai product pages are the reference for the features, configurations and functions of the solutions marketed by the company; the pages dedicated to technical assistance, rental and the metrology laboratory document the respective services; the Italian Official Gazette and Unioncamere are used for the legal-metrology framework and periodic verification.
This approach prevents a feature that is generally available on the market from being automatically attributed to I Bilanciai. If a function is not stated in a specific primary source, it is not presented as a confirmed feature of one of the company's products or services.
The same principle applies to regulatory information. The guides may explain obligations, deadlines and terminology in accessible language, but the editorial summary does not replace the official text of the legislation or a case-specific assessment where one is required.
I Bilanciai Weighbridges
The main I Bilanciai weighbridge page is the primary reference for the range designed for vehicle weighing. It is used together with the individual product pages to distinguish common features from the specific characteristics of the different configurations.
I Bilanciai weighbridges are made to measure. Dimensions, capacity and configuration are defined according to the project, the vehicles to be weighed and the conditions of the yard. Any dimensions or capacities stated in the technical information are therefore used by Peseaponte.info as technical references for the range, rather than as rigid limits of standardised production.
Varnished weighbridge
The varnished weighbridge page is used as the reference for the modular steel structure, flush-mounted or above-ground installation, the weighing deck, IP68 load cells and the information relating to the metrological configuration available for the product.
Hot-dip galvanized weighbridge
The hot-dip galvanized weighbridge page is the reference for the hot-dip galvanized version and for the technical characteristics attributed by I Bilanciai to this configuration. In the guides, the comparison between galvanizing and varnishing is kept separate from the weighing principle: the treatment concerns protection of the steelwork, while the measuring system must be assessed on the basis of the instrument's characteristics.
Axle weighing platform
The axle weighing platform page is used to describe dynamic axle-by-axle weighing and the characteristics of the I Bilanciai solution. The platform measures 3 × 1 m, has a maximum capacity of 20,000 kg, is installed flush with floor level and is supplied with a weight indicator; the thermal printer is optional.
The platform capacity must not be interpreted as the maximum gross vehicle mass. The guides also keep dynamic axle weighing distinct from static weighing of the entire vehicle on a weighbridge.
Weighbridge software
The Weighbridge — Weighbridge Management page is the source used for the functions of the I Bilanciai software. Documented functions include single and double weighing, storage of weighing operations, totalisation, customer, material and vehicle master data, scale status, weighing tickets, reports and data export.
Functions such as native connections to specific ERP systems, SAP, APIs, cloud services or multi-site management are not automatically attributed to Weighbridge unless they are supported by a specific source for the required configuration.
Self-service systems
Two separate I Bilanciai sources are used for unattended weighing.
The self-service weight indicator with POS reader page documents a station with a 7-inch touchscreen, integrated thermal printer and card payment. It is the reference for guides on self-service public weighbridges and weighing services in which payment and ticket issue are part of the same procedure.
The self-service weight indicator with coin/token unit page documents the use of coins, tokens and RFID badges. The reference to RFID badges is kept to its specific meaning and is not presented as automatic number-plate or vehicle recognition.
Cameras, ANPR, traffic lights, automatic barriers and other traffic-automation components are not attributed to the I Bilanciai solutions covered by the guides unless a specific primary source documents them.
Rental and technical assistance
The I Bilanciai Rental page is used for information on the rental of modular electronic weighbridges, including above-ground or flush-mounted configurations, the weight indicator, printer, and the installation and removal activities included in the service.
The I Bilanciai Technical Assistance page is the reference for repairs to weighing systems at the customer's premises or at the company's facility, and for remote software support via an Internet connection. The guides keep technical assistance, maintenance, calibration and periodic verification separate because they are activities with different purposes.
Metrology laboratory and periodic verification
The I Bilanciai metrology laboratory page is used to identify the CVP — Centro Verifiche Periodiche (Periodic Verification Centre) and its scope of activity. In guides dealing with legal metrology, periodic verification is therefore attributed to the specific body identified by I Bilanciai rather than generically to the company.
This distinction is important because repair, maintenance and periodic verification are not synonymous and must be treated according to the actual role performed by the appointed party.
D.M. 21 April 2017, No. 93
For the periodic-verification framework, the main regulatory reference is D.M. 21 April 2017, No. 93, published in the Italian Official Gazette. The decree governs controls on measuring instruments in service that are used for legal metrology purposes and is the primary source for terminology, the instrument holder's obligations, verification intervals, verification activities, the metrological logbook and the consequences of work involving seals or metrological protections.
In guides on weighbridges, the classification for non-automatic weighing instruments is used where the specific weighbridge and its intended use fall within that scope.
Regulatory update published in 2026
The source collection also includes the update to D.M. 93/2017 published in the Italian Official Gazette in 2026. It is used to read the original text together with the amendments currently in force and to avoid presenting information that predates the update without checking whether it is still current.
In particular, the guide on periodic verification explains that the update changed specific verification intervals without altering the three-year interval applicable to non-automatic weighing instruments.
Unioncamere and legal metrology
Unioncamere's institutional pages are used as a complementary source for the legal-metrology system, the bodies that carry out periodic verification and the operational framework associated with D.M. 93/2017.
When a guide concerns a regulatory obligation, the institutional source is read together with the text published in the Italian Official Gazette. If there is any difference between an explanatory summary and the legislation currently in force, the latter prevails.
Editorial ownership and transparency
Peseaponte.info is published by I BILANCIAI S.r.l. and is not presented as a portal independent of the company. Its technical pages are intended to examine problems, selection criteria and processes relating to weighbridges and vehicle weighing in greater depth, while commercial product characteristics are linked back to the relevant official I Bilanciai sources.
This separation keeps the relationship between editorial content and product information clear: a guide may compare solutions, explain a procedure or describe an operational issue, but any characteristics attributed to an I Bilanciai product must be supported by the relevant primary documentation.

Update policy
Sources are reviewed when a guide is updated or when technical or regulatory changes relevant to the content occur. The presence of a source on this page identifies a reference used by the portal; it does not mean that every piece of information in that source applies indiscriminately to every weighbridge or every installation.
Where characteristics, obligations or conditions depend on the instrument configuration, intended use or site, the guides refer to an assessment of the specific case rather than turning a general reference into a universal rule.
