A CLEAR PROCESS PREVENTS INCOMPLETE COMPARISONS
A weighbridge is not just a platform: it interacts with the yard, vehicles, operating procedures, data and applicable obligations. Working through the project in stages makes it clearer what is genuinely required and what needs to appear in the offer.
Gather the initial data
Vehicle types and lengths, traffic frequency, information required, internal or legally relevant use, and yard constraints.
Assess the site and traffic flows
Levels, manoeuvring space, access, drainage and civil works should be considered together. Any site survey and its scope must be defined in the commercial proposal.
Compare the configuration
Structure, dimensions, capacity, installation type, protective treatment, reading instruments and services should be compared as a whole, not as isolated items.
Define the project and supply
Responsibilities, documents, site provisions and included equipment should be fixed before execution. Actual timings and activities depend on the agreed supply.
Install and commission
Civil works, assembly, connections and tests should follow the project and applicable documentation. The included activities remain those stated in the offer.
Manage metrology and maintenance
For uses subject to legal control, commissioning, periodic verification and maintenance must be kept distinct. Records and documents must remain available.
